The programme began with a discussion about All Saints' Day, exploring the relationship between religion and folk traditions.

Once the children became familiar with these festive customs, they gathered in smaller groups to practice traditional candle dipping. The process involves dipping the wick into hot wax and then cooling it in cold water—by repeating these two steps, candle makers gradually "build up" the thickness of the candle. Afterwards, everyone decorated their finished pieces with green leaves and thuja twigs according to their own creative ideas.

On the day before the workshop, the children and instructors visited the Learning Garden to harvest baking potatoes. Those who finished their candle making were able to taste the potatoes, which had been baked in their jackets in the meantime—a true autumn and winter delicacy. These handmade candles will be used as decorative elements during the next workshop, where the children will create Christmas table centrepieces.
