The theme of the second pottery session focused on making traditional Serbian earthenware kitchen vessels.

On this day, participants crafted traditional large family-sized pastry serving dishes. With the guidance of the master potter, everyone initially shaped their dish on a potter's wheel. Afterwards, while the dishes were drying in the open air, everyone let their imagination run wild, creating a variety of uniquely designed clay items. Once the dishes had partially dried to a leather-hard state, their interior surfaces were coated with a white slip (engobe) paint, before being decorated with colourful, traditional Serbian motifs.

Participants were also able to experiment with applying colourful pottery glazes to their other workpieces. You can admire these beautiful, unique items in the attached photographs.

Following the drying process and kiln firing, everyone will be able to start using their custom-designed ceramic pieces at the next meeting.
