Between 28 July and 1 August 2025, the Saint Sava Centre in Deszk resounded with children’s laughter and the sound of music. Organized as part of the FolkReAct project, this music and dance camp was designed for primary school children to introduce them to the musical and dance traditions of the Vojvodina (Délvidék) in a playful way, while spending meaningful and experience-rich days together.

During the camp, tambura players mastered melodies from the Banat region and learned a shared dance with their peers, which they proudly performed on Friday afternoon for parents, grandparents, and visitors to mark the end of the week.

Alongside instrument instruction and dance learning, there was plenty of time for physical activities, games, and various handcrafts programmes. There were many joyful moments, including crafting simple musical instruments, woodwork, beadwork, batik dyeing, and creating a variety of colourful pottery vessels.
